The Psychology Undergraduate Advising Office provides a broad variety of services to assist undergraduate students in their academic development. Advisors are happy to answer your questions regarding the PSYC major, course requirements, research, internship opportunities, and more. Advising for Psychology majors is not mandatory. However, students are encouraged to meet with an advisor on a periodic basis to confirm progress in meeting degree requirements.
PSYC Advisors are available to meet with you! Below are the best ways to reach out.
- EMAIL - The best way to reach PSYC Advising is through email at PSYCadvising@umd.edu. If you prefer to email a specific advisor directly, see the links below for direct contact information. Please include your UID.
**Effective 2/16/2022 all emails sent to PSYC Advising (and other campus offices) must be sent from your university issued account (@TERPmail or @umd).
- PHONE - You can call the PSYC Advising office front desk at (301) 405-5866 to be directed to an available advisor. If the advisors do not answer the phone during office hours, they may be working with another student or in a meeting, so please leave a voice message and they will return your call
